Huawei has unveiled FreeBuds at the company’s big launch event for its flagship Huawei P20 devices in Paris. FreeBuds are a clone of the Apple AirPods and available for €159, which is the same price of the Apple AirPods in Europe.
Huawei states that FreeBuds offer ten hours of playback when fully charged, which is twice as long as the Apple AirPods which give five hours of playback on a single charge. Similar to the Apple AirPods, FreeBuds come with a carry case that offers extra charges.
The company says that Freebud’s in-ear design offers better noise isolation than Apple’s AirPods. The AirBuds pair with the company’s latest flagship devices the P20 series, which have been launched sans the headphone jack. The FreeBuds will be available in White and a new Black colour.
Apart from FreeBuds, Huawei announced new audio accessories at the event including active Noise Canceling Earphones 3; and a new DAC Headphone Amplifier which the company states use an “audiophile-grade” digital-to-analogue converter.
