Xiaomi unveils Mi Sports Bluetooth headset Youth edition with IP64 rating

09 August 2018 3

Xiaomi is primarily known for making smartphones but it also makes a bunch of other products including accessories and audios. In the latter's department, it has launched a new pair of Bluetooth earphones called Mi Sports Youth Edition. As the name suggests, these are aimed at youth age group users who are looking for stylish looking earphones to use while working out or even when going out to college or somewhere else.

In terms of design, Xiaomi has opted for Behind-the-neck design which is something potential buyers are likely to appreciate. It weighs only 13.6 grams which is another reason to consider them, especially for those who keep their earphones on for long period of times. There are physical buttons for controlling music playback, microphone, and volume level. There are five different sizes of ear tips so that you can find the ones which give you the maximum comfort and better sound output.

Since these are aimed at youth and anyone who loves to work out or swimming, they come with IPX4 certification for water resistance. To make things even sweeter, Xiaomi has claimed a battery life of up to 11 hours on a single charge. It has a 120mAh battery and if it can last anywhere near to the closed mark, it will definitely be a good thing for users.

Xiaomi has priced these new Mi Sports Bluetooth headphones Youth edition at CNY 99 (about $15). They are currently available only in China with no words on the international availability yet.
