31 October 2018 3

Samsung has finally announced its 512GB MicroSD card. This storage card was long awaited as the Galaxy Note 9 came with a storage support of up to 1TB and had 512 GB of storage already present on board. This new storage card is helpful in storing additional media files in case you manage to fill up the 512GB of space already there.

This microSD card has been listed on Samsung’s German website, at a price of 289.90 Euros or USD 329. It is compatible with any device supporting that much external storage, be it a smartphone or a laptop where it can be used to increase the onboard storage.

As per Samsung, this microSD card can read and write at a speed of up to 100MBps and 90MBps, respectively. The company claims that a 3GB video in 4K resolution will be able to get transferred in just 38 seconds. Though the SD card is listed on Samsung’s US site as well, there is no official word regarding the global availability of Samsung high capacity micro SD card.

Samsung has also listed its new wireless charger with a model code EP-P1100BBEGWW and is the cheapest yet of its kind from Samsung. It is priced at EURO 34.99 or USD 39.71. For a comparison, the recently launched Wireless Charger Duo is priced at $119.99.

The wireless charger supports 10W wireless charging at 5V and 2A and 15W wired charging with 9V and 1.67A. Samsung though has not yet revealed the launch date of this charger.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is available at Amazon for $ 377. The price/quality is avarage but this is the best device in this price range. To see others 29 offers click here.

More than the Wireless Charger, the 512GB MicroSD card attracts me more. So much space of storage on offer. Do we really even need that much?
