Xiaomi AirDots Pro a cheap replica of Apple AirPods launched in China

08 January 2019 3

Xiaomi has launched a pair of truly wireless Bluetooth earphones in China today. These AirDots Pro not only derive their name from Apple’s AirPods but the design is also highly inspired, to say the least, from the American counterpart.

The new AirDots Pro feature touch-sensitive controls for music playback and digital assistant. The Bluetooth ear pods come with a 7mm neodymium iron boron magnetic + titanium-plated diaphragm dynamic ring speaker unit. Xiaomi also has included Active Noise Cancellation feature offering a better audio experience and support for AAC codec as well.

Like Apple AirPods, Xiaomi’s AirDots Pro also disconnect automatically from the paired device after a standby of 30 minutes once taken off from the ears. If one of the earbuds is removed, the other one works unilaterally. These earphones offer a four hour of battery backup and the case adds up another 10 hours of backup. The AirDots Pro support fast charge solution, claims Xiaomi.

Xiaomi AirDots Pro are IPX4 certified for water resistance and are lightweight too with each earbud weighing just 5.8 grams. These earbuds can be paired with both iOS and Android devices and are priced at CNY 399 or USD 60 compared to Apple’s AirPods which are priced at USD 159. The Xiaomi AirDots Pro will start retailing from January 11th and there is no information regarding their global availability yet.
