10 January 2019 2

Xiaomi has launched its new Mi TV Box 4 SE in China. The new smart set-top box from Xiaomi joins Mi Box 4c as the third variant of the Mi Box 4. The Mi Box 4 SE is up for preorder through Xiaomi Mall and will start retailing from January 11.

This new TV box is equipped with a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor coupled with Mali-400 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and offers a 1080p full-HD (1080p) output resolution. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz) and can stream directly from the smartphone.

Talking about connectivity, the Mi Box 4 SE comes with AV connectivity ports, USB 2.0 and an HDMI port. It runs on the same PatchWall UI which powers the Mi TVs and supports voice control feature.

The price of Mi Box 4 SE is set at CNY 189 or $28. At this pricing, it becomes cheaper than the Google Chromecast or Amazon Firestick still letting you cast videos or images directly from your phone or even mirror your phones' display directly to practically any TV with an HDMI port.
