30 January 2019 2

SteelSeries has announced a new wireless gaming controller called as SteelSeries XL Duo. The highlight of the controller is that it is designed to swap between two platforms PC and Android. It connects with the PC via the bundled 2.4 GHz wireless adapter and can easily connect with the Android Phone Oculus Go, or Samsung VR via Bluetooth.

The Steelseries XL Duo is quite similar to the Steelseries XL controller, however, comes with upgraded design and extra features. It comes with plug and play feature and doesn’t require any additional software to be installed on the PC to work. The controller is compatible with Steam letting uses play all the controller-enabled Steam games.

"Stratus XL is a Bluetooth-only controller, which is compatible with your PC’s Bluetooth, but the dedicated 2.4GHz of the Stratus Duo provides a more reliable, software-free experience. We’ve also improved the ergonomics and used higher quality components like Hall Effect magnetic sensors," SteelSeries explains.

The new controller comes with a 20-hour long battery, a USB cable for charging and an optional wired connected in case required. The SteelSeries XL Duo is priced at USD 59.99 and an adjustable mobile phone mount can be bought separately which will be priced at USD 9.99 when available.
