Xiaomi’s new Router to be the ‘One More Thing’ along with Mi 9

15 February 2019 2

Xiaomi came into focus by imitating Apple’s products to the core. In fact, its’s founder Lei Jun had openly admitted that he is a fan of Steve Jobs and even copied his unique dressing style too. Anyone who’s been following tech space knows that Steve Jobs used a signature parting phrase “One More Thing” when it seemed like the end of the presentation and would announce another major product. In a recent Weibo post, Xiaomi’s official have teased about “One More Thing” slated to be launched with the upcoming Mi 9 launch on February 20.

This new product is going to be a new Mi Router, as confirmed by the official Mi Router handle on Weibo. Though we do not have much information about the upcoming router, it looks like this is not going to be an iterative update. The Weibo post says that this is going to be a “never seen before product.

Xiaomi apart from making smartphones makes a lot of lifestyle products and other accessories which includes smart LED TVs, Routers, electric scooters, shavers etc. The Mi Routers were first launched in 2013 and Xiaomi has launched multiple iterations of the routers since it is one of the highest selling devices after its phones and TVs.

The Xiaomi MI 9 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
