Sony SBH82D open-ear wireless headphones with NFC announced

Along with the launch of a few smartphones like the Xperia 1, Xperia 10, 10 Plus, and Xperia L3, Sony has announced Sony SBH82D, a neckband styled open-ear Bluetooth stereo headset. These open ear headsets come with NFC support, Google assistant and SIRI voice support.


The new neckband from Sony is lightweight, compact and foldable headphone offering an all-day battery life. It features an open-ear design letting users listen to music without muting their surroundings. It can be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2 or NFC for quick connectivity.

The company claims that the Sony SBH82D offers a 7.5 hours playback time, 8 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby while requires only around 2 hours to tank up the battery to its brim. It has a multi-function key to answer, end or reject a call and also helps to play music, replay or skip and switch tracks.

The Sony SBH82D will be available in select markets in Black, Gray, and Blue color options. Sony has not yet revealed the price of these headphones.
