28 February 2019 2

For the first time, Xiaomi has launched a pair of Bluetooth earphones in India. It is Mi Sports Bluetooth Basic which is part of Xiaomi's attempt to expand its portfolio in the country. It keeps on adding new product categories like the most recently launched smart shoes. Like all other products, the key highlight here is the price-to-performance ratio which is a better one as expected from the brand.

Xiaomi claims that Mi Sports Bluetooth Basic earphones feature a design which ensures that they don't fall out even when the user is moving, running or working out. It has a 360-degree adjustable hook which can be set to any angle depending on the user's ear shape and size for maximum comfort.

These feature Bluetooth 4.1 for connecting via smartphones and any other Bluetooth-powered device. The battery backup is claimed to last for up to 9 hours on a single charge. There is IPX4 certification which makes them sweat and splash proof, a handy addition for those who like to workout while listening to some music.

There are three in-line buttons which serve multiple functions. These buttons can be used for volume adjustment, skipping tracks, play/pause track, answer/reject calls, and three-way calling. The earphones also feature Google Assistant integration which means users can interact with Assistant without having to take out their smartphones. These come with five different sets of earbud tips.

Xiaomi has priced the Mi Sports Bluetooth earphones at Rs. 1,499. These are already available for pre-orders via the online Mi.com store.
