It has been a long time since many gamers, especially Xbox fans, have been asking Microsoft for an upgraded controller. Microsoft has finally listened to all those fans and has announced all-new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. It is a controller that brings numerous noteworthy improvements and changes over the predecessor.

Microsoft that says that the Xbox Elite second-gen controller has over 30 changes that will change the way people have been gaming. The biggest change is the Bluetooth support and in-built rechargeable battery. It means it is the truly wireless Xbox controller that gamers can use without having to worry about getting new batteries in the middle of an intense gaming session.

The team has focused on the personalization aspect with various features aimed at allowing gamers to customize the controller's user experience as per their need or preference. There are thumbsticks with adjustable-tension, shorter hair trigger lock setting for quicker firing, and new wrap-around rubberized grips for better comfort.

Both thumbsticks and paddle shapes are interchangeable now which should add another dimension to the way you game. The retail package will come with six thumbsticks (two standard, two classic, one tall, one wide dome) and four paddles (two medium, two mini). Other than this, the new controller is compatible with Xbox Accessories app where one can accomplish all sorts of customizations including remapping buttons, triggers, bumpers, paddles, and even voice commands.

Microsoft claims that the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is capable of lasting for up to 40 hours on a single charge. It comes with a braided USB Type-C cable and a charging dock. The good thing is that the controller can be charged even when it is placed inside the carrying case. It has been priced at $179.99 with preorders currently live via the Xbox website. It will go on sale in all of the Xbox One markets.
