Xiaomi Mi Outdoor Bluetooth speaker with 8-hour battery life launched

27 September 2019 0

Xiaomi has launched an outdoor Bluetooth speaker under its Mi branding with some interesting features in China. The all-new Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker has a pill-shaped cylindrical design with 360-degree omnidirectional sound. The speaker aims at travelers or those who like to throw parties outside or do a bonfire, so it’s also been developed for an easy carrying and a flexible handled attached to it on the top lets you take it anywhere.

Another interesting feature that enhances portability is the IP55 water resistance rating. So you can take it on your poolside parties as well. The rating also makes it resistive to dust, thus suitable for taking it to some rough roads. The main chassis utilizes seamless fabric and soft plastic and the overall look quite elegant.

Coming to some technicalities, the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker supports the Bluetooth 5.0 and has a USB Type-C port for charging. It’s touted to offer up to 8-hour of battery life from its 2,600mAH battery on continuous playback and it has 52mm drivers and has two HD microphone pickups for noise cancellation.

The price of the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker is CNY 199 and it comes in a single Black color option. The speaker is available for sale in China. It’s currently unknown if the device will come out of China and be sold in other countries as well. The price of the speaker is quite affordable and we expect it to reach other price-sensitive countries as well.
