LG has announced its first wireless earbuds called the Tone+ Free (HBS-PFL7) in Korea. The earbuds come in a cute little case, unlike Apple AirPods' case. Well, the size of the earbuds itself is smaller so the size of the cae justifies it. The small circular-shaped case of the Tone+ Free earbuds has a cylindrical-shaped hollow where both the earbuds rest.
The earphones have ‘UVnano’ coating to prevent it from ultraviolet rays. The earbuds appear to have a secure fit with its ergonomic semi-open design.
It has a normal microphone for voice and noise-canceling microphone as well. It removes the noise after recognizing and analyzing the voice and noise from each microphone and thus offers a clearer voice to the caller.
The earphones come with rich signal processing and advanced tuning technology from audio manufacturer ‘Meridian Audio’ for richer bass and three-dimensional sound as well. The earbuds have IPX4 ratings to protect it from sweat, water splashes or drizzles of rain.
The earphones have touchpad which is helpful in many ways. It lets you control calls, music playback and you can also invoke ‘Google Assistant.’ You can hold down the touchpad and talk to Google Assistant for some tasks like “tell me the weather today” or things like that. The earphones support fast-charging so that you shouldn’t miss listening to your favorite podcast for longer. According to LG’s claims, the Tone+ Free wireless earbuds can offer one hour of playback with just five minutes of charging and when fully charged, it can offer six hours of playback.
The price of the LG Tone+ Free is 25999 won (US$ 216) and it will go on sale starting from Korea from October 28t, with pre-orders starting today, October 1st. It will come in Black and White color options.
