Vivo is reportedly planning to launch its first-ever truly wireless earphones named Vivo TWS in India soon. The report is coming from 91Mobiles citing retail sources familiar with the development. It mentions that the company has already started testing the wireless earphones in the country that suggests an official launch is imminent.
The report includes an image that is claimed to be of the Vivo TWS testing unit. It shows the retail packaging of the true wireless earphones and its charging case. The packaging clearly mentions Vivo TWS Earphone on the top and this confirming the name. Both the box and the case are in Black color. The sources have not shared any release date details with the publication which means we will have to wait for the time being.
To give you an overview, the Vivo TWS earphones debuted last year in China and alongside the NEX 3 5G smartphone. These are powered by Qualcomm's QCC5126 chipset which is a flagship wireless processor from the company. They come with Bluetooth 5.0 for a faster and more smooth connection when paired with a smartphone. It boasts 14.2mm drivers with support for AAC and aptX high-definition audio decoding technology.
Other features include volume adjustment touch gestures and customizable touch operations, up to 4 hours of battery life, and up to 24 hours of battery life with the charging case. These were released in Black and White colors but we will have to wait and see if Vivo will bring both color options.
