Acer showcases gaming Triton 900 PC with a unique hinge at IFA

30 August 2018 3

As expected the IFA 2018 press days are full of announcements from different companies. Acer is amongst those companies who unveiled a number of products at the biggest tech show. Apart from bringing the updated version of their laptop series, the company brought a new 2-in-1 gaming PC Predator Triton 900. The gaming PC not only have top of the line hardware but also comes with a unique hinge. It's not the first time Acer bringing such unique hinge, we have seen somewhat similar PCs in past as well.

The Aspire R14 was the company's first PC which features a special hinge which not only makes it 2-in-1 PC but also it rotates display as well. Acer dubbed this kind of hinge as Ezel. Now they brought the Ezel hinge on a gaming PC.

At the event, the company gives a glimpse of the new PC. The PC is showcased in a glass case but the hinge looks a lot similar to the Aspire R14. The Ezel hinge allows the user to rotate the display of the PC in all angles. You can put it flatly, tent-like shape or rotate it according to your preference. The company confirms Triton 900 will have the Aeroblade cooling tech.

Unfortunately, the company didn't reveal any hardware details of the Triton 900. However one of the Acer rep confirms the PC will have Nvidia graphics which means we can expect Nvidia 20-series GPU on board. At the moment it is still not confirmed when the PC will be available for purchase and at what price tag. Most likely the company will launch it at the CES 2019.

The hinge that graces the Triton 900 PC is the USP of the device. That hinge is what will make using it quite comfortable in a sitting position to use it, not to mention the other profile highlights :)
