Acer has launched two new Chromebooks and they come to serve two different purposes. The name of one Chromebook is Chromebase for Meeting 24V2 and as the name implies, it’s targeted for the businesses and enterprises so that they could do some effortless video conferencing with their large team using the latest Google Hangouts Meet. The second new Chromebook is Chromebase 24I2 launched as an all-in-one Chrome device. Both these models are powered by the 8th gen Intel Core processors and they feature the 24-inch full HD display and a 5MP wide-angle webcam.

The Meet hardware has been designed with an aim to reduce echoes and actively manages background noise to deliver rich, immersive, crystal-clear 360-degree sound. It has 8th gen Intel Core i7-850U processor coupled with an 8GB RAM and 32GB SSD storage.
The device is designed to use for video conferencing via Meet so you can include 25 callers and up to 50 callers with G Suite Business and up to 100 callers with G Suite Enterprises.
Talking about the Chromebase 24I2, it’s a more general-purpose device with an optional touchscreen, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD storage.
Both the devices feature an Ethernet port, SD card slot, a USB-C port, four USB 3.1 ports, and an HDMI port, so to connect with an additional monitor.
While the Acer Chromebase for Meets 24V2 is set to launch sometime this summer for $999, the launch window and pricing details for the Chromebase 24I2 are unknown.
