Acer unveils ConceptD 7, Spin 5, TravelMate notebooks, Predator gaming monitors

Like every year, Acer is attending CES with a bunch of products spread across different categories. It took the platform to announce the new ConceptD 7 Ezel series convertibles and workstation, Spin 5 and Spin 3 2-in-1 convertibles, TravelMate P6 and P2 notebooks, and three new Predator gaming monitors. Let's have a look at each of these products one by one.

Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel series and workstation

Acer has updated its ConceptD lineup of PCs aimed at creators with two new models: ConceptD 7 Ezel and ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro. Both of these are convertibles but differ in terms of the internal hardware and overall power they are capable of offering. These come with a special hinge called "Ezel" that Acer says offers up to five usage modes. These modes are meant to offer users the freedom of using the PC in the way they want.

Both models come with a 4K IPS display panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and touchscreen input support. It is said to deliver a color accuracy of Delta E <2, compatible with 100% Adobe RGB color gamut, and up to 400 nits of brightness. The ConceptD 7 Ezel offers up to 10th Gen Intel Core H-series processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and up to 2TB of PCIe SSD storage. The Pro variant has been packed with an Intel Xeon processor with NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPU, ECC memory support, and Windows 10 Pro.

The connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a microSD card slot. Both the models come bundled with Wacom EMR pen stylus that does not need a battery to work. Acer has priced the ConceptD 7 Ezel and ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro at $2,699 and $3,099 respectively for base models.

The Acer ConceptD 700 is the newest workstation released in the lineup. It is powered by the Intel Xeon E processor along with NVIDIA Quadro RTX 400 GPU and up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. It supports PCIe M.2 SSD storage for faster data read/write speeds that can matter a lot for creators. One can also use 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDDs if you want to. There are three cooling fans to keep the temperature under check.

The workstation offers fast wireless charging for smartphones on its topside, plus cable management and a pop-out headset cradle that can be tucked away when not in use. It has been priced at EUR 1,699 with availability from March 2020 in EMEA.

Acer Spin 5, Spin 3 convertibles

Acer's much-popular Spin series has been refreshed with new Spin 5 and Spin 3 convertibles. Both of these come with a 360-degree hinge that will allow users to use the device in four different modes. These are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core processors and boast slimmer profiles.

Acer has unveiled TravelMate P6 and TravelMate P2 notebooks with by keeping professionals on-the-go in mind. These are packed with high-end specifications for the best possible performance but also focus on the durability. Both of these are MIL-STD-810G certified notebooks and are claimed to last for up to 23 hours on a single charge. Interested buyers can also go for eSIM variants to get 4G LTE connectivity wherever they go.

These are packed with hardware components and features to offer immersive gaming experience with almost zero latency.
