Acer launched new Swift Windows laptops at IFA with precision touchpad and thinner profile. The thinnest laptop ever produced is now available for purchase in the US market. The Swift 7 really pushes thin to the limits as it measures just 0.39 inches (less than 1CM) in thickness. As per the reports, Acer official stores in the US are now open the sale for $1,099.99.
“Ultrathin doesn’t mean compromising on capabilities,” said Acer about the device. And Swift 7 just reflects the same as it packs several neat specs and premium-looking designs. The device packs the following specifications:
- 13.3-inch IPS LED-backlit display
- Gorilla Glass 4
- Intel Core i5-7Y54 clocked at 1.2GHz
- Intel HD Graphics 615
- 8GB LPDDR3 RAM
- 256GB SSD
- 2,770mAh battery
Apart from that the device packs built-in stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, USB Type-C, power and DisplayPort over USB Type-C, two USB 3.0 ports (one of which supports power-off charging) and an HD webcam with HDR support. Also, Windows 10 comes pre-installed with the device.
Amazon and Best Buy have listed the Swift 7 on their website. But both of them don’t have the device in stock. Best-Buy says “sold out online” whereas Amazon displays a “temporarily out of stock” message. As mentioned earlier, the official price tag of the device is $1,099.99, but it is available for $1,049.99 at Best Buy and $999.99 from Amazon.
