Acer unveils 30 inch curved screen gaming monitor with eye tracking capability

03 January 2017 0

Acer is in full swing at the CES 2017, with the bulk of their newly unveiled products geared towards high-end users and gamers. The latest of these is the Predator Z301CT, a curved-screen gaming monitor that has eye-tracking capabilities built into it.

The Predator Z301CT is the first monitor ever with a 30 inch curved screen and a 21:9 aspect ratio. This offers a very unique widescreen gaming experience that you can't get with any other display in the market. The monitor sports a resolution of ultra-wide FHD - which is 2560 x 1080 pixels - and a 1800R curved screen. The monitor clocks a refresh rate of 200 Hz, which is ultra-high for a monitor.

The most revolutionary feature, however, is the Tobii eye-tracking capability. This feature uses the movement of the gamer's eyes and pairs that information with the mouse and keyboard/gamepad, providing a much more realistic in-game experience of actual actions of a gamer mimicked within the game. The feature also adjusts camera angles as you look at the corners.

Tobii eye-tracking support is available in many modern game titles, including Deus Ex, Watch Dogs, etc.

The monitor also features two 3W DTS Speakers for immersive sound.

This revolutionary gaming monitor provides true immersive experience to gamers who want to go the extra mile and bring perfection to their game. The monitor has won the "Best of Innovations" award in the computer peripherals category at the CES 2017, which is a highly prestigious award, and goes on to prove just how great of a product Acer has managed to deliver.

The Z301CT gaming monitor will be available for a retail price of $899.
