AMD has always strived hard to keep its software updated and at par with its hardware. Especially in terms of drivers for graphics cards. However, as we all know that AMD drivers have never been the best, but this has never proved to be an obstacle for the company as their efforts have always culminated in a solution. It seems like the company is trying the same as they have now announced a new GPU driver software. This Radeon Software will be called “Adrenalin” Edition and will be released sometime in December.
A walk down memory lane might refresh your mind of the various rebranded and repacked AMD driver software in different parcels. If you’re unfamiliar with it, AMD tried to surpass the competition back in 2014 with its Catalyst Omega drivers, then again in 2015 with its Radeon Software Crimson Edition and since 2016 we have been witnessing the Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition. There was even a new driver software for Microsoft’s Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
This update will be a major driver update and maybe a game changer for the new RX Vega GPUs. The company has disclosed that it named the driver software after the Adrenalin Rose. We’re hoping to see such much-needed changes with this new driver software. Always remember, your hardware is only as good as the software allows it to be!
