Pokémon GO receives Halloween special update with new Pikachu

20 October 2017 0

Online games are famously known for fun-filled updates which usually introduce a new element, world, or even characters. Temple Run 2 did this and so did Clash of Clans with new characters, levels and even worlds. Another game following the same path is Pokémon GO with its Halloween addition including new ghost-type pocket monsters from the Hoenn Region, a special Pikachu with a witch hat. In addition to this, the game will also feature more rewards and goodies.

Well, this isn’t the first time that developers have done this with the game as players last year witnessed the same during Halloween. The game will also feature a new special Halloween Pikachu. The developers have even promised a Christmas and New Year’s special edition. Here are some of the goodies which the Halloween special brings:

Candy rewards for catching, hatching, and transferring Pokémon will be doubled throughout the event, and your buddy will find Candy twice as fast. Trainers will also have the opportunity to stock up on special boxes from the in-game shop, featuring items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators. Finally, players will be able to wear the all-new avatar item, Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat, created in the likeness of the mysterious Disguise Pokémon Mimikyu.

This definitely adds an extra flavour to Pokémon GO and players will definitely be excited to try out the new features. If you’ve never tried playing this game, maybe now is the time to start!
