HTC had recently announced an upcoming event on the 2nd of November. The company has decided to create hype for the event by releasing a new teaser. Rumour has it that the event will see the launch of the HTC U11 Plus as well as the HTC U11 Life. The new teaser reveals the back portion of one of the two smartphones. In all likelihood, this is probably the back of the HTC U11 Plus. While the entire back of the device cannot be seen, the portion which is revealed shows quite a bit of information about it.
The latest teaser reveals that the HTC U11 Plus will feature a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. This is quite different from the HTC U11 which came with a front-facing fingerprint scanner. However, now the fingerprint scanner is located at the back of the smartphone with the rear camera and LED next to it. Unfortunately, the image doesn’t allow us to arrive at a conclusion as to whether the back of the smartphone is made out of metal or glass.
If rumour has it right, the HTC U11 Plus will come with on-screen navigation buttons and a close to bezel-less display. If you didn’t know this already, the HTC U11 Plus got certified by TENAA which shows off its design. The smartphone may have a 6-inch QHD+ display with a 12MP rear camera and the latest Snapdragon SoC, the Snapdragon 835. The rumoured battery capacity stands at 3,930mAh.
