Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphones will be featuring Bluetooth 5.0 support. It was spotted in a listing on Bluetooth SIG website which revealed that the Exynos 7885 is compatible with the latest Bluetooth standard. This is the same chipset which will be powering the two new Galaxy A series phones coming next year.
Bluetooth 5.0 will be offering faster data transfer rate, longer connectivity range, and support for connecting multiple devices at the same time. It became official last year with a claimed speed twice as fast as older Bluetooth 4.2 and four times the range. The Samsung Galaxy S8 was the first Android device to come with Bluetooth 5.0 and recently, HTC confirmed that the HTC U11 will be enabling the support with Android Oreo release.
As for the Galaxy A5 and A7 (2018), the exact launch date for both phones is unknown at the moment. But previous reports have suggested Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with either 4GB or 6GB RAM for the Galaxy A5 (2018). It should be noted that there is a possibility that the Snapdragon variant will be made available only a few selected regions.
