Huawei is gearing up to launch the Huawei Honor 7X in India next month at a competitive price, to gain share in the fastest growing smartphone market.
The Huawei Honor 7X is the successor to the Honor 6X which was launched last year in India. The Huawei Honor 7X has a 5.93-inch FHD display and has an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by Huawei's own Kirin 659 processor with 4GB of RAM.
It is backed by a 3340mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with EMUI 5.1 over the top. The Honor 7X has a dual-camera setup, with a primary 16 MP + 2 MP dual-cameras and an 8MP front camera for clicking selfies and video calling.
The Huawei Honor 7X was launched in three variants in China, including a 32 GB model priced at 1,299 Yuan (Rs 12,890), a 64GB model priced at 1,700 Yuan (Rs 16,750), and the top-end model with 128 GB at 1,999 Yuan (Rs 19,799).
“We will launch Honor 7X in December at such a price that it will have no competitor in that segment,” Zhao said while unveiling the company’s roadmap for the Indian market at an event in Chengdu, China.
He added that Huawei will soon add Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities into its Honor smartphones, and is planning to increase both offline and online retail presence in India.
“We have the capability to outcompete other dominating players in the Indian smartphone market in terms of quality, but our marketing efforts need to improve,” Zhao added.
