Another Oppo branded smartphone A79 render pops up online alongside with the details regarding what the device is bringing under the hood. The Oppo A79 already appeared on TENAA certification which confirms the company is getting to announce this device pretty soon. Today leaked render is pretty much in line with what we have seen on TENAA certification listings. It not only confirms the design but also the specs sheet.
With the Oppo F5, the company entered the arena of ultra-thin bezels with the full front-facing display. From the look of the things, it seems like the company is now looking forward to using similar design for other devices including the A79. The render confirms indeed the device will have the bezel-less design. It lacks physical button but instead comes with on-screen buttons and an oval-shaped fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side of the center.
The front-facing side of Oppo A79 is pretty much similar to Oppo F5 with the similar edge-to-edge display with minor bezels on top and bottom. The screen-to-body aspect ratio is pretty high with a lot of screens to play with. The power button is placed on the right edge whereas the volume rockers are on the left edge. The rear side is adorned with the single primary sensor with Oppo's Logo on the bottom.
As far as specs are a concern the device is featuring a 6.01-inches display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The MediaTek MT6763T chipset is powering the device with 4GB RAM and built-in native storage is 64GB. The rear primary snapper is 16MP module whereas the selfie camera on the front-facing side is 16MP.
The device is pre-installed with Android Nougat 7.1.1 straight out of the box. A 2,900mAh battery cell is on board to keep its lights on. The Oppo A79 dimensions are 157.3 x 76 x 7.2mm and it weighs 140g. The device is rumored to costs 2,399 Yuan in China which is $361 at the current currency exchange rate. The tipster claims the device will be up for sale from November 30th but the company yet to confirm any official unveiling of the device. As nothing is set in stone, we will recommend taking this info with a grain of salt. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated as soon as some more info regarding the A79 will appear online.
