OnePlus 5T price to be same as the OnePlus 5: Leak

14 November 2017 4

OnePlus 5T will be priced same as the OnePlus 5, according to a new leak. OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 5T on Nov 16. The phone will be an Amazon Exclusive.

The leak reveals that the upcoming flagship OnePlus 5T will be unveiled in two variants, one with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and the second one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 6 GB variant will be priced at Rs 32,999 while the 8 GB variant will be priced at Rs 37,999. The price is exactly the same as the company’s current flagship the OnePlus 5.

However, the leak is directly opposed to an earlier statement made by CEO Pete Lau that the OnePlus 5T will cost more than its predecessor.

OnePlus’s CEO Pete Lau had said that fans will “appreciate what’s coming” and not changing the price of the phone will certainly be appreciated by OnePlus fans.

Other rumored specifications of the OnePlus 5T are a 6-inch display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. The phone will run on Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. The OnePlus 5T will get dual 16MP Sony IMX 398 and 20MP IMX 376K rear cameras with f/1.7 aperture and dual LED flash. The phone will have an edge to edge display and reportedly come with FaceID. The phone will run the same Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor which was also seen on the OnePlus 5. It will be backed by a 3300 mAh battery.

With the launch event coming up in two days, we will know more about the specifications and pricing of the phone. Till then, we ask our readers to take the news with a pinch of salt.
