Samsung may announce the Galaxy S9 ahead of Mobile World Congress, this is coming from a tipster. However, this is the same rumor that makes the round every year for the new Galaxy flagship. Technically, Samsung announces the new Galaxy device before the MWC event in a conference.
Both Galaxy S6 and S7 were unveiled ahead of the conference, it was just Galaxy S8 that was unveiled a little late due to the Galaxy Note 7 disaster. However, there have been mixed reports even saying that the fingerprint scanner will be at the rear end.
The same tipster has also reportedly said that Samsung has copied some of the iPhone X’s “tricks” for the Galaxy S9. However, the source hasn’t mentioned which specific feature or trick Samsung is using. It could be Face ID, but we aren’t sure because there are so many reports that say Samsung is embedded an under-display fingerprint scanner for the unlocking purpose.
Recently, the CAD leaks have hinted the possible design of the Galaxy S9. A patent also revealed that the device’s display can feature a top notch as well, something similar to iPhone X.
Well, if Galaxy S9 gets unveiled far ahead of the MWC event then it could be something different. Otherwise, there isn’t anything new that we need to pour.
