Newly leaked screenshots reveal further specifications & pricing for the upcoming Xiaomi phablet. The device comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with 3GB/4GB RAM & 32GB/64GB onboard storage options. Priced at $199, Redmi Note 5 will equip a 12MP primary camera with a 5MP front-facing sensor that is housed above the 5.99-inch 1080p screen. The device will run on Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top and will be backed up by a 4,000mAh battery.
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 5 this month. The smartphone's launch is imminent as it was spotted on Chinese retailer JD.com. The listing revealed that the phone will come with a full-screen display.
The listing of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 suggests a Yuan 8888 price, which is just symbolic and doesn’t actually reveal of the price. ‘8’ is considered a lucky number in China.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will reportedly come with a 5.9-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will come with a full-screen design with thin bezels, similar to a number of flagship devices launched by other smartphone vendors this year. The first render of the Note 5 has leaked online, which shows the sleek front of the smartphone.
The phone will be available in 2 variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and a second with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Both will come with expandable phone memory via a microSD card slot.
Camera wise the Note 5 will feature a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. Connectivity options included in the device are Bluetooth, USB, WiFi, dual-sim with dual-standby and GPS. It will run on Android 7.1 and will be backed by a 4000 mAh battery. According to the earlier TENAA leak, the smartphone will be available in a number of colors including Black, Rose Gold, White, Blue, Gold, Pink, Red, Grey and Silver options.
