How to organize Gallery images on Android phone better

16 November 2017 3

Organizing Gallery images in your smartphone could be a task, especially when you have tons of pictures from every app. While the default Gallery app of our smartphones works well and organizes the images coming from messaging and editing apps, the need of new folders will always be there that could separate the type of images according to our way. Well, today almost all the apps let you save/bookmark the media in your account, but it’s better to have organized everything in one place and what could be better than the Gallery app itself.

The default gallery app of several smartphones just separates the folders according to the app installed on your phone. For instance, you must be having a separate folder for WhatsApp images, Messenger, Telegram, or editing apps. Today almost every phone lets you create new collection/folder in which you can add other images or organize the existing ones. But, still, some cool organization ways are still missing. For instance, finding images, accessing cloud images, storing images in internal or SD card storage, and much more.

So, I've made a how-to guide that will help the users who want to organize images in a better way. So, here, I've got a few app options for you that will let you create new folders and add images to it so as to manage the images well.

How to organize Gallery images

QuickPic

There are many apps available on the Google Play Store that lets you manage your images stored in Gallery well in an effective way. The first app to mention here is QuickPic that lets you create new folders, manage the existing images.

QuickPic is fast, light, and modern, well thanks to the materialistic design, it offers colorful themes and immersive user interface. It's a powerful file management app that let you do the sort, rename, create new folders, moving/copying data and more. It not only manages your phone's images but also supports multiple online album services including Google Drive, Dropbox, Flickr, OneDrive, Box, Amazon, Yandex, 500px, OwnCloud, Samba and more. It also has an internal photo editor and also offers support for every multimedia file.

You can also upload images to cloud with the help of QuickPic app and also it offers WiFi Transfer.

Foto Gallery

This is another efficient app for managing your pictures in a fast and organized way. It lets you create folders/albums and even add them to the existing ones. Before creating new albums, the app prompts you where you want to store them - internal storage or external. You can view the hierarchy of storage albums in the File manager. Moving photos from one folder to another is quite easy

Finding the images is quite easy but you have to first associate the tag with every picture as the app searches with the help of tags. You can avoid putting tags to all of your images and rather add to some important ones that you may require in future. Two or more images can be group together using the same tag name.

So, whenever you search with that particular tag name, all the images with this name will come up. You can recover images that have been deleted by you accidentally. As you can see in the screenshots provided above, the app lets you gather images in an easy and fast way. Its Settings page lets tweak things your way. This also comes with a Gallery Optimization feature that deletes duplicate images and more.

Piktures

Piktures is also another great app for organizing images better. It has a cleaner UI than the other apps listed here. It lets you move images to existing folders and lets you create new albums. As additional features, the app also includes the camera apps; the apps that let you take pictures. For instance, I've Google Camera and PicsArt installed; so indirectly, the app lets you take pictures too. Just like the QuickTip, this allows you to access your cloud photos.

Well, these are the best app to help you organize your images better on the Android phone. Google Photos is also one of the best apps to use here and needless to say it comes pre-installed on many phones already. This app is most intelligent and advanced galley app that can even search with emoji.
