Samsung supposedly testing Android 8.0 Oreo on Galaxy S9

28 November 2017 0

Samsung had one of the biggest success in the smartphone market with its Galaxy S8 inspiring other brands to level up their games with flagship smartphones especially when it comes to large effectively bezel-less displays. Now the company seems to have already started working on the next generation i.e. Galaxy S9 that has been featured in leaked sketches and it seems that the company is ditching headphones just in the next one like Apple did with iPhones this year.

Previously it was rumored that Galaxy S9 would feature a fingerprint scanner at the back side while some rumors suggested that it would be positioned below rear camera. Now a popular online journal suggests that the company is testing S9 and S9 Plus with Android 8.0 Oreo though there is no confirmed information in this regard.

Generally, we know that Samsung had never been the leader when it comes to offering the latest Android version to its customers and it seems that it would be the case this time too as Google is currently testing Android 8.1 in beta stage with Nexus and Pixel devices. Though Samsung brings quite some features that become part of the core Android operating system.
