Mate 9 series receives EMUI 8.0 with Android 8.0 Oreo update

06 December 2017 2

After beta testing for the past few weeks, Huawei has finally released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Huawei Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, and the Mate 9 Porsche Edition. The new update brings in features such as multi-screen, dynamic wallpaper, and increased software optimization.

The new update also brings a PC mode for a full desktop experience when connected to an external display. It basically works like a Samsung DeX, but only with a help of an external cord. The dual Bluetooth connection helps the user connect a wireless mouse and keyboard to the device.

The smart split-screen feature can help the user when they are watching a video and there are incoming notifications from other applications. The dynamic wallpaper changes as per your progress in the day and the one-step shortcut helps add app shortcuts to homescreen.
