Samsung is rolling out new security updates for its Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones. Incidentally, the company is also rolling out an update for the now aging Galaxy Note 5, which should be welcome new for users of one of Samsung's most popular phones.
All three updates carry the latest December Android security patch. And the rollout appears to be in South Korea and the U.S (for T-Mobile variants only).
The update for S8 and S8+ units in the U.S. (T-Mobile) carry the build number G950USQS2BQL1 and G955USQS2BQL1 respectively, and for South Korean units, the respective build numbers are G950NKSU1AQL3 and G955NKSU1AQL3.
As for the Galaxy Note 5, the update weighs just 17 MB, and carries build number NRD90M.N920GDDS3CQL4.
