Essential Phone gets second Android Oreo beta with new features and fixwes

The Essential Phone is now receiving a new update which is basically the second Android Oreo beta build. It means you will receive this update only if you are a beta tester for the smartphone. This is an OTA update and you should receive an update notification anytime soon as the official announcement has been made.

The latest Essential Phone Android Oreo beta update carries the build number OPM1.170911.213. The company says that the update includes a bunch of new features and bug fixes. Some of the newly added features include smart text selection, picture-in-picture mode, and more. It is worth mentioning that you need to be on Oreo Beta 1 to receive this Oreo Beta 2 update.

For those of you who are not a beta tester but want to join the program, you can do so by visiting this official Developer Overview page. It offers detailed information about the program as well as step by step guide on how to install the first Oreo beta version. There is also a mention of things that you need to keep in mind before proceeding with the beta version. It is advised that if it is your first time going for a beta build, you should read everything carefully.
