Moto Z2 Force (Verizon) is now receiving Android Oreo update

23 December 2017 1

Motorola has been pretty active about its software updates lately, and this time it is the Moto Z2 Force's turn to get their latest update, just as promised recently. Device on the Verizon network are now receiving an update to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Motorola is working on updating most of its recent devices to Android Oreo pretty soon. Check out this list of Motorola devices promised to get the update.

The Moto Z2 Force was launched earlier this year with Android Nougat, so it naturally follows that the device should get an Oreo update. And even thought it is only the Verizon variant getting the update, other versions of the phone should also get the update pretty soon.

As for the changes brought by the update, there are not many changes that are not outside the realm Android Oreo. Moto or Verizon haven't made any significant improvements. The update carries the November Android security patch, which is not the latest.

The update should be available for all Verizon subscribers now (ofcourse it goes without saying that having a Moto Z2 Force is a must).

The Motorola Moto Z2 Force isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
