New Samsung Pay Web Checkout makes online purchases easy

01 January 2018 2

Samsung Pay has become one of the most trusted, secure and simple online payment methods. The company is still trying to make it much simpler and faster with new feature add-ons. The latest one to join the add-on list is Samsung Pay Web Checkout. For now, it is launched in Russia only, but will be expanded to more countries soon.

The Samsung Pay Web Checkout eliminates the step of entering card details during a purchase. Instead of providing card details, all they have to do is entering the email address linked to the Samsung Account on Sberbank's payment page. On submitting the email id, a notification is sent to the corresponding Samsung device asking to select the card to be used. Users can then select any of the already linked cards and then complete the authentication with either fingerprint or PIN.

As per the report, Sberbank was the first bank to support Pay in Russia and thus requires no further integration if it is already being supported by the seller. It is not necessary for an online store to support Samsung Pay in order to do the Samsung Pay Checkout. Only the Sberbank support is enough. More banks will support this payment system in the future.
