From the look of the things, it seems like HMD Global is fulfilling the promise of rolling updates at a rapid pace. The company is not only rolling updates for their mid-rangers and top-tier devices but also for the entry-level Nokia 2. As per latest info, the company is now rolling out a new update for the Nokia 2 owners. The latest update brings the December security patch.
The new update is available for most of the regions. As expected the update is being rolled out in phases that's why not all owners will get it on the first day instead OTA update will take time to reach out to every user. If you didn't receive an update in next few days, you can check out manually by going to settings menu >> About Device >> Software update.
The latest update weighs 88MB so it won't take much time to download. We will recommend to backup your data before starting the update process. Although the company is rolling out the last month security patch still it's better to have it than an older version. The Nokia 2 was announced with Android Nougat 7.1 and the company CPO Juho Sarvikas recently stated the Nokia 2 will directly update to Android Oreo 8.1.
