CES 2018 is mainly about the autonomous cars, self-driving tech, in-car infotainment systems, new chips, and graphics. Well, while the announcements are circulating around the new tech, the smartphone enthusiasts may have been waiting for some new and interesting announcements as well.
The smartphones segment didn’t really see the light of the launch at the ongoing CES but Sony did add some new phones to its Xperia segment which may or may not attract the consumers. But, what can really attract the users and become a head turner is Galaxy S9. No, the company didn’t launch them but at least did confirm when it will get launched.
At a press conference at the CES in Las Vegas, DJ Koh, President of Samsung’s mobile business said that its first flagship smartphone of the year will be unveiled at the trade show in February. Everyone's best guess is that the first flagship is none other the Galaxy S9.
Well, the rumors already spilled the beans about the launch of the Galaxy S9 but nothing is confirmed until you get something from the company itself. So, here a confirmation and a good news for the Samsung phone followers.
Talking about the sales of the Galaxy S9, they are likely to start in March as Galaxy S8 was unveiled at the company’s Unpacked event in March and the sales were started in April.
Samsung didn’t confirm anything else about the handset but we are going to hear mostly about the device from the rumors soon as we already having them too.
