OPPO A83 announced in India with 18:9 display and facial recognition

Today the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo announced A83 for the Indian customers as reported earlier. The A83 is the company's latest offering in the mid-range A-lineup, it was initially announced for the Chinese customers. The device is featuring a 5.7-inches display with HD+ screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The MediaTek Helio P23 chipset is powering the device with 3GB RAM. Its built-in native storage is 32GB which is further expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD card.

On the rear side, the camera sensor is 13MP with f/2.2 aperture and single LED flashlight. Up front, the selfie-camera is 8MP with f/2.2 aperture. The device comes with an AI beauty tech which automatically beautifies selfies. It comes with facial recognition as well. The device supports dual SIMs. A 3,180mAh battery cell keeps the A83 lights running. It lacks fingerprint scanner.

The A83 will be available in Gold and Black color variants. It will be up for sale from January 20th via Flipkart and Amazon.in at a price tag of INR 13,990.
