Today we have a good news for Sony fans. The Japanese giant confirms they will be exhibitors at the MWC 2018. At the recent CES 2018 show in Las Vegas, the company was amongst the few who showcases new products instead of upgraded devices. Sony's latest offering not only have upgraded hardware but also the design as well. Now all eyes are on the next big tech show scheduled in February this year. Surprisingly at this year CES show Sony announced three new Xperia smartphones but that doesn't mean the company has nothing new for the MWC.
As per all latest leaks and rumors, the Sony has at least one Xperia smartphone which will be showcased at the MWC 2018. The company is now sending invites to the Feb 26th Sony event. Though the company didn't confirm any device (s) which will be announced at the event if we consider Sony's history the answer is pretty simple. Most likely at the event the company will showcase flagship smartphone successor variant of last year Xperia XZ Premium. The last few weeks rumors indicate Xperia XZ Pro is on the cards as the next flagship of the company.
Last year at the MWC event, Sony showcases flagship Xperia XZ Premium alongside the two mid-rangers XA1 and XA1 Ultra. The XA2 and XA2 Ultra are recently announced at the CES 2018 so it won't be exagerated to claim that Xperia XZ Premium successor is expected at the MWC event from Sony. Apart from the flagship, the company could also unveil a mid-range as well but obviously, the center of attention will be the company's latest powerhouse.
As much of the details of the event are still in dark, we can expect a number of new info in coming days as the announcement is still few good weeks away. On the other hand, the Samsung's latest Galaxy S9 and S9+ are also expected to be announced on the same day, it would be interesting to see two powerhouses on the same day. Stay tuned.
