Meizu E3 leak reveals side 18:9 display and side fingerprint scanner

05 February 2018 4

Meizu is working on new smartphones with latest technical features and specs. Several leaks and rumors about their new devices are surfacing online. The latest one to hit the internet is a front image of a device doubted to be Meizu E3. It has a lot of similarities with the Meizu M6. In fact, both were believed to be a single device earlier.

The earlier leak of the device revealed the back side of the device. We failed to notice a fingerprint sensor at the rear side of the device. Only a single-lens camera setup with LED flash was found. Anyway, the latest leak reveals the front design of the device with the absence of Meizu's mBack button. It has been replaced by an all-purpose on-screen home button.

Apart from that, the leaked image suggests a side fingerprint scanner embedded with the power button. As you can see, the doubted portion is circled in red in the leaked image. Apart from that, the leak presents us with a bunch of key features of the device. The device seems to have a Type-C USB port. It also packs an advanced speaker as there are six holes compared to the 5 holes on the Meizu M6.

The leaked image suggests that the Meizu E3 will pack an 18:9 display. It is rumored to hit the markets in April this year. Let us wait to hear more from Meizu about this mid-ranger.
