Nokia 7 Plus renders and specs sheet suggests 2:1 display and 4GB RAM

HMD global recently confirmed their presence at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2018 show. The event will be held at Barcelona Spain from Feb 26th onwards. Nokia is heavily rumored to announce a couple of smartphones including the Nokia 7 Plus. In last few weeks or so we have seen tons of details regarding the Nokia 7 Plus which hints that announcement isn' far away. Today the Nokia 7 Plus renders pop up online alongside the specs sheet which not only confirms the design but also what the Nokia 7 Plus is bringing on board.

The Nokia 7 was announced last year in October and so far the device is only available for the Chinese customers. Those who are unaware the Nokia 7 is the company's only smartphone with metal and glass sandwich design. The upcoming Nokia 7 Plus is also expected to have the glass rear with the metal chassis.

The renders suggest that Nokia 7 Plus will be the first smartphone from the company with 2:1 display. The chassis will be made up of aluminum with glass covering the rear side. It will be IP54 certified device this means it will be splash proof. The IPS LCD display is of 6-inches with the Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The display aspect ratio will be 2:1. Due to full front-facing display, the fingerprint scanner is shifted to the rear side.

Recently the alleged Nokia 7 Plus Geekbench listing appeared online which suggests the device will be powered up by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SoC with 4GB RAM. There will be a top-tier variant with 6GB RAM. The built-in native storage is 64 which will be further expandable via MicroSD card. As OS it will be pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.0. The dual Carl Zeiss certified lenses will be adorning the rear side. The primary sensor will be 12MP whereas the secondary 13MP sensor will provide 2x optical zoom. Up front, the selfie camera will be 16MP.

A 3,450mAh battery cell will keep the Nokia 7 Plus lights on and it will also support fast charging. For connectivity, it is expected to have USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
