Google Calendar hits 500M installs on the Play Store

08 February 2018 2

Google Calendar app on Play Store has reached 500 million installs. The install figure has reached such a humungous number, given that this doesn't come as pre-installed on Android phones as several other apps. Just a week ago Google Calculator app reached 100M installs on Play Store and the latest installation numbers of Calendar app

Google Calendar has garnered the number of installs on its own efforts, which actually means, unlike the Google apps such as Chrome, YouTube, Maps, and more, the Calendar app doesn’t come by default on many OEM phones. However, there are a few companies like Nokia and OnePlus that have opted Google Calendar over their own solutions. So, the number of installations on Android phones of Calendar app is quite ‘organic.’

The app was released in 2012 and since then it has received so many major upgrades. In 2014, it received the Material Design update and is still getting some solid makeovers.

Google isn’t only bringing the changes and features to Calendar app for Android. It also works timely for other platforms as well. Back in October 2017, the company brought major changes to the web version of the Calendar app. These included new design, capabilities, extra features for managing your meetings well.

Well, if you still haven’t installed this app then download it right away by following the link provided below.
