Xiaomi is said to be announcing Redmi Note 5 (maybe a rebranded version of Redmi 5 Plus) and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India tomorrow. The two phones have been in rumors for a long time now and much has already surfaced about them. But, now a leak is filling the gaps if some were made due to scarcity. A new leak is revealing all the details of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The leaked images seem to be the official listings of the two devices that we may see on the company’s website soon.
According to the leak, the Redmi Note 5 features a 6-inch display and is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, though these details have already been speculated for enough times. The leaked image also confirms that the Redmi Note 5 is indeed a rebranded version of Redmi 5 Plus. So, specifications of the Redmi Note are exactly similar to the Redmi 5 Plus that was launched in China back in December.
Talking about the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the device is powered by Snapdragon 636 processor. There’s a dual camera on the back, placed just like the arrangement we see on iPhone X. There’s a 20MP selfie snapper as well. It’s powered by octa-core processor clocked up to 1.8GHz and coupled with 50 GPU. It has the same display panel as the Redmi Note 5 and includes a 5.99-inch screen with full HD+ resolution under a 2.5D glass and software buttons.
The dual camera setup on Redmi Note 5 Pro is 12MP+5MP. The first sensor has f/2.2 aperture and 1.25 μm pixel size. The second one will deliver “focused foreground and creamy blurred backgrounds” with the f/2.0 lens and 1.12 μm pixel size. There’s a 20MP front camera with a Sony IMX376 sensor and LED light. There’s a fingerprint scanner positioned on the back, while the power button and volume rocker sit on the right side. There’s a whopping 4,000mAH battery to give power to such strong configurations.
Going by the leaked image, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will arrive with MIUI 9, based on Android Nougat. It will be available in Blue, Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Black colors and there will be three memory and price combinations - 3 GB + 32 GB, 4 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 64 GB.
Xiaomi will launch new products tomorrow, February 14th in India. So, be right back to know more about these new phones.
