Google Calendar for Android has received an update which makes it possible for users to copy and duplicate events directly from the app. These are two small but much-awaited features that have finally been added to the app. The update also bumps up the version number to 5.8.18.
Prior to the update, Google Calendar app users had no option to copy or move an event from a particular calendar to some other calendar. It either had to be done by adding a new event manually to the calendar of user's choice or by using the web version of the service. With this update, Google has still not fixed the issue completely but has offered a better than before kind of solution.
The proper solution for this situation would be to add the option to move events from one calendar to another. But as the update adds only copy and duplicate functionality, it still means a user will have to copy and paste the event into the second calendar and then delete the event from the first calendar.
The Google Calendar v5.8.18 update has already been made available on Play Store. You can look for the same either by opening the Play Store on your device or by clicking the link below. In case you do not see the update, you can also click the APKMirror link to grab the latest APK.
