OnePlus 5/5T OxygenOS 5.0.4 fixes ringtone and audio related issues

28 February 2018 1

OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T have received the Oxygen 5.0.4 OTA update. This is an incremental update, this means it will first reach a small percentage of users and then roll out for a broader segment of users in a few days. The associated changelog explains that the ‘no ringtone for incoming calls and notifications’ is fixed. Also, some other audio quality related issues that used to occur during the video playback have also been fixed.

Apart from these fixes, the company has brought general improvements for both the handsets.

Here’s a look at the official changelog –

  • Fixed NO ringtone for incoming calls and notifications
  • Fixed Audio quality related issues during video playback
  • Bug fixes

In related news, OnePlus has enabled the Netflix HD playback on the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T devices but you can’t update your handsets on your own to avail this benefit. You would need to go to OnePlus Customer Care Service and get this feature enabled. OnePlus has explained that due to the security processes involved in this, they would need to deliver the update via a physical connection from an authenticated PC. The company is also covering the courier costs for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T customers who would like to have this update.
