Vivo X20 Plus UD was the first smartphone in the market with an in-glass fingerprint scanner, now from the look of the things it seems like this trend will be followed by other OEMs in coming months. After announcing the concept Apex phone, the company is now gearing up to announce X20 successor as X21.
In last few weeks or so we have seen a number of renders appear online which suggests X21 will be having a design pretty much similar to iPhone X. Today a new set of X21 images appear online on "slashleaks" which reconfirms what we have seen earlier. Though the latest leaked images are not of the good quality they certainly reveal few more details regarding the design.
The first prominent aspect of the X21 design is indeed it's top-notch which is pretty much similar to the Apple's 10th anniversary iPhone X, this means the X21 display aspect ratio will be 19:9. The chassis is made up of metal with glass covering the rear side. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear side below the dual camera modules in the center.
Vivo not only took inspiration from iPhone X as far as front-facing design is a concern but also they adopted the vertical placement of dual rear cameras. A number of Vivo X21 variants recently appeared at 3C with different nomenclatures. One of the variants has UD abbreviation which hints the company could announce a special variant with under glass fingerprint scanner.
From what we heard so far the X21 will be packed with Snapdragon 670 SoC. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage whereas the top tier variant expected to have 8GB RAM and 128GB native storage. As this info is not from an official source that's why we will recommend to take it with a grain of salt. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
