Latest OnePlus Open Beta updates for all phones paused

09 April 2018 2

OnePlus recently released latest Open Beta versions for its smartphones OnePlus 3/3T and 5/5T. It was OxygenOS Open Beta 33 and 24 for OnePlus 3 and 3T along with Open Beta 7 and 5 for the OnePlus 5 and 5T. While beta versions are usually expected to have bugs and issues which are meant to be tested and fixed ahead of the stable release, there can be times when updates need to be halted.

As per the reports, OnePlus has paused the rollout of the latest OxygenOS Open Beta versions for all the devices eligible for the open beta channel. The exact reason for the decision to halt the update is unknown but it is likely to be because of the battery drain issue. A number of users have complained about drastic decrement in the battery life of the device as compared to previous versions.

There are no words on when the update rollout will be resumed but it should happen as soon as OnePlus fixes the battery draining issue. If you have already installed the latest version, you will have to wait for the update to arrive. On another hand, if you did not install the update, you should wait for the next update. We will keep you updated as and when it will be released.
