YouTube recently started to roll out a new feature called Autoplay on Home to users around the world. This features exactly the way its name suggests which is to autoplay videos shown on your YouTube app's Home feed. While it is aimed at making video consumption experience more convenient, this certainly can be a frustrating and even an awkward/embarrassing experience at times.
So if you have been wondering how to turn off YouTube's autoplaying videos on Home feed, here is a quick and easy-to-follow tutorial for you. This whole process will take less than five seconds and you will be back to enjoying YouTube like you used to prior to this new feature rollout.
Step 1: Launch the YouTube app on your smartphone and tap your profile avatar at the top right corner.
Step 2: From here, click Settings followed by Autoplay.
Step 3: Tap Autoplay on Home and choose Off from the list of options.
This way, you will be able to disable autoplaying YouTube videos on the Home feed of your smartphone. As you might have noticed in the screenshot, there is an option which lets you enable autoplaying videos only if you are connected to WiFi. You can choose this feature if you like the feature but don't want it to eat up all your cellular data.
