OnePlus has announced it will be holding the first-ever Open Ears Forum event in India on July 7th. This will be the fourth edition of the forum where the previous ones were held in London, Hamburg, and San Francisco. The goal of this forum event is to connect with selected OnePlus fans at a personal level to have discussions and receive feedback about OnePlus products and offerings.
The announcement was made via an official forum post where it revealed that India's event will be focused around Product. It did not mention any specific details but it seems like OnePlus will be focusing on the OnePlus 6. On the past occasions, the event was focused on the camera and OxygenOS software experience. It will basically be a platform for selected OnePlus fans to share their views directly with the OnePlus team about what they like or dislike in the flagship.
The team will listen to the feedback and might even incorporate some or all of the suggestions in future products. In the announcement, it mentioned that registrations are open to everyone but only 30 of them will be selected and invited for the event. The last date to submit the application is July 12th until 11:59 PM which means you still have a few hours. It will be contacting all the selected applicants by June 15th.
Pete Lau, OnePlus founder and CEO said,
"Our 'Never Settle' motto means we are always eager to improve ourselves, and our users play a significant role when developing new releases. Keeping this in mind, we wanted to hear directly from our Indian fans. We do not run after trends or take short-term decisions but want to create a smartphone that is created based on what our user needs. We appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with our users, contributing to the development of new features and products."
