Xiaomi Mi 8 got out of stock in a jiffy during the second flash sale as well

12 June 2018 5

Xiaomi recently held the second flash sale for the Mi 8 flagship in China and the outcome was same as the first one. The latest Android flagship went out of stock in a jiffy with a lot of people feeling disappointed about missing out on the opportunity. The report is coming from the Chinese publication Anzhuo which mentions that Blue and Gold color variants of the phone also made their debut during the sale.

This is not surprising considering that the Mi 8 offers a premium design with high-end specifications and features for a relatively affordable pricing. But as Xiaomi usually does with flash sales, there are no words on the quantity of the stock that was made available for the flash sale. It would have been much easier to gauge the demand if there were numbers but we cause don't have them, it seems like Mi 8 is in a huge demand among buyers.

To give you an overview, the Xiaomi Mi 8 sports a 6.21-inch Full HD+ (2248 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a notch at the top. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. There is an option to choose from 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage variants. On the back, it has dual 12-megapixel cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture with 2x optical zoom and support for AI. It further features a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture with AI support.

The whole package is powered by a 3400mAh battery and runs MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It has been priced at 2699 (about $421), Yuan, 2999 Yuan (about $468), and 3299 Yuan (about $515) for the 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 6GB/256GB variant respectively.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.

As I was expecting after reading the title, here's what I got to read, "But as Xiaomi usually does with flash sales, there are no words on the quantity of the stock". Man, it doesn't give any idea of many devices were sold.
