Spotify is an app which is packed with many features but like any other app, it also has a bunch of issues or missing features which users want it to fix. And now, it has fixed one such issue/missing feature which is the ability to re-order songs in a playlist using the Android app. It talked about adding this capability towards the last month's end and now, it has added the same within less than four weeks of the announcement.
This new feature is accessible quite easily and with just a few taps. All you need to do is to visit the playlist you created and want to change the song order for. Tap the menu button in the top right corner and choose "Edit Playlist" option. This will allow you to edit the playlist name as well as change the order of songs.
Once you have saved the new order, the app will play songs from the playlist in the most recently saved order. This is definitely a handy feature and is now available across all major platforms including iOS and web. It gives you the freedom of listening to the song in your preferred order instead of relying on the default order or shuffle play.
It should be noted that Spotify seems to be releasing this new feature as a server-side change. It means there is no new update or particular version on which it will become visible. If you are not seeing it already, the best you can do is to wait and keep checking until it becomes available.
